In Memory of Lonnie Massey ...

I am very saddened to share that Lonnie Massey was killed in a car accident on July 5th.

Lonnie is the man I met a couple of weeks ago ... the president of NETCACHE, a homeschooling group with about 200 families. I wrote a nice post about him a couple of posts ago.

I have to tell you that his sudden death has shaken me. He was so FULL OF LIFE when we met. He had just been promoted in his business and was excited about his future there. He lived his life in a way that he felt honored God ... and he shared that with me, but not in a pushy religious way. He was busy and excited .... but he also had time to meet with me to find out how I wanted to help homeschoolers. I really appreciated that about him.

We talked about family and he mentioned he was about to go to a family reunion in Illinois .... near where I was raised. He and his two sons were going to drive up there. I believe the accident occured on their return trip .... just where, I do not know. I have also just heard that one of his sons is in Intensive Care and is still unaware of his father's death.
